CRAFT BEER & BBQ FESTIVAL
- 9 MARCH, 2019
- Louisiana State Exhibit Museum
Come join us as we once again celebrate the marriage of craft beer and BBQ at the second annual ArkLaTex Craft Beer and BBQ Festival and with more reasons why to attend!
Veteran Outdoors is the non-profit organization that will benefit from the proceeds of the event. Thier mission is to honor our country’s wounded veterans’ patriotism and their sacrifice by providing quality hunting, fishing and outdoor related activities. Their goal is to demonstrate the therapuetic effects that being in the outdoors actually has on the mental and physical disabilities of our country’s wounded men and women.
The Louisiana Food Prize proudly brings you the Golden Q VIP Room Experience. Join us in the VIP Room from 12:00pm to 2:00pm as local celebrity chefs battle for the Golden Cleaver with their own unique twists on traditional barbecue. Your VIP ticket gives you entrance to this exclusive competition within a competition where you will sample each chef’s creation, perfectly paired with one of the featured craft beers, then help award one talented chef with the inaugural Golden Cleaver.
This year’s competing chefs include 2018 Golden Fork Champion Jacob Mouser (Frank’s Pizza Napoletana), 2017 Golden Fork Champion Eleazar Mondragon (Ki’ Mexico), Hardette Harris (Us Up North), and Matt Conover (Bohemian BBQ).
This sanctioned International Barbecue Competition Association event will feature both professional and amateur barbecue teams from the Ark- La- Tex that will compete for one of the largest cash prizes in the region.
Guests can come mix and mingle with barbecue masters to learn about their secrets of barbequing success beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 10th before admission to the craft beer festival.
Admission to the ArkLaTex Craft Beer and BBQ Festival includes receiving a sample plate of bbq that will feature our own regional company, Down Home Sausage, brand sausage. These plates will also include side dishes.
